Garbage Collection Schedule

Residential garbage collection is tendered out every 1 year to private sector under agreement with the town of Aita El Foukhar (April 2005 - April 2006). 

To protect the health and safety of the landfill, the environment, and the garbage collectors, the town has set some requirements on the garbage that you can put out on your collection day.  If any of these requirements have not met, the garbage collector has no obligation to collect your trash.  There are a number of reasons for which your garbage might not have been collected on your collection day.  These include:

• the garbage was not properly bundled or tied;

• the garbage was loose (not properly packaged);

• the receptacle (bag or trash can) was not placed in the allocated place;

• the garbage container exceeded the weight or length limits (20 kg and 1 meter, respectively);

• there were liquids present in the container

The garbage collection schedule allocate two days per week Monday and Thursday for garbage collection, occasionally the collector changes its routes to better serve Aita El Foukhar Residences.

What time does my garbage need to be out on the morning of my collection day?

All garbage needs to be placed out for collection by 7:00 a.m. on the morning of your collection day.   

Where do I put out my garbage?

Predetermined locations were identified by the Municipality to allow the garbage collector to have convenient access to your garbage.

If your property is not adjacent to main road, you need to place your garbage bags and trash containers in the predetermined locations as practical without causing a hindrance to any movement along the roads.
